Greenie Smoothie – The Flawless Whey

Tuesday, 15 May 2012 23:13 Written by samantha 0 Comments

Greenie Smoothie

1 package of The Flawless Whey (Dutch Chocolate)

1 small frozen banana
1 handful of spinach
1/2 cup to 1 cup of milk of choice
1 big handful of ice

Blend together until spinach is smooth. Now I know what you are thinking. Spinach? Seriously. No way. Sick!

Do yourself a favor. TRY IT! When you combine spinach or any kind of greens with a frozen fruit (like banana) the spinach taste is undetected! I guarantee you even the kids will love this shake. This adds a little bit of extra nutrition to breakfast!

Fruit Protein Cobbler – The Flawless Whey

Friday, 11 May 2012 16:53 Written by samantha 0 Comments

I adapted this recipe from vitamix. I cut down on the sugar, butter, and changed a few other things. I love being able to make a batch of something, freeze it, and have it weeks after for a super simple breakfast! Freezer friendly meals = HEALTH FRIENDLY! Make a batch of these. I made these over a month ago, and they still taste fresh after you pull them from the freezer.

1.5 cups of dried rolled oats
0.5 cups of buckwheat flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1.5 cups original almond milk
1/2 cup eggwhite substitute
2 tbsp earth balance (or butter of choice)
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 overflowing cup of fruit of choice. Think blueberries, strawberries, peaches, or whatever.
2 packages of The Flawless Whey (vanilla)

Preheat oven to 350.
Mix oats, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. Set aside.
Add the almond milk, egg whites, earth balance (butter) and sugar to a blender. Blend on high for 30 seconds.
Add wet mixture to dry mixture. Mix well.
Fold in fruit.
Add mixture to baking pan. I used mini loafs. But use whatever you have. Make sure you spray the pan well with baking spray.

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Let cool on wire racks for 15-20 minutes. Depending on what size pan you use, you should get between 8-12 servings.

Here are the calories based on 8 servings.

186 calories, 4.5 grams of fat, 13 grams of protein. Super yummy!

Protein Messy Oats – No Whey! Egg White Protein

Friday, 11 May 2012 12:17 Written by samantha 0 Comments

Protein Messy Oats

This is one of the easiest, healthiest, and yummiest breakfasts you could possibly have. You can make this the night before, or make it the morning of. If you make it the night before, just make sure to cover it and leave it in the fridge overnight. The flavor combinations are endless!

1/2 cup of dried rolled oats
4-6 oz of yogurt
1 scoop of Flawless Science’s No Whey! Egg White Protein (whatever flavor you like)
1/2 cup fruit to top (optional)

Mix all ingredients together. Enjoy! I promise this breakfast will keep you full for hours! Calories/Fat/Protein will vary depending on what kind of yogurt, and toppings you use. I always go for greek yogurt. It has a higher protein content. Coconut greek yogurt is my current obsession. Have fun mixing and matching flavors. You don’t have to only drink shakes with protein powder. Get creative.
